Torre Mileto Multivision Installation – Gargano National Park
Created for the Ente Parco Nazionale del Gargano in Apulia, Italy, this installation brings the Torre Mileto and the surrounding coast to life. It highlights Gargano’s unique geology, geography, and coastal communities. Moreover, it shows the importance and influence of the sea on local culture.
Inspired by the words of Riccardo Bacchelli, the installation layers poetry drawn from his reflections on the sea. This approach blends history, culture, and nature into a rich, immersive experience.
The project serves two main purposes. First, it welcomes tourists arriving from around the world. Second, it provides a sense of cultural identity beyond the local community. As a result, visitors connect with Gargano’s landscape, history, and poetic inspiration.
Alex Rowbotham programmed the Watchout system and created the primary design, artwork, and art direction. Additionally, the installation uses stock photography from AGRfoto, an original soundtrack by Sandro Di Stefano, and video clips plus media assets produced or supplied by the agency.
In conclusion, this multivision project combines technology, art, and storytelling. It celebrates the natural and cultural beauty of the Gargano coastline and leaves a lasting impression on both tourists and locals.
